Nomos is the Greek for law: the settled rule a community agrees to live by. That is not decoration. It is the whole reason this company exists.
Businesses that touch digital assets keep being served by one of two kinds of provider. The first is fast and unaccountable, and disappears when something goes wrong. The second is accountable and will not touch digital assets at all, which means an account closure the moment on-chain activity appears on a statement.
Neither is a real option for a company with suppliers to pay and an auditor to satisfy. Nomos Pay exists to be the third one: registered, screened, documented, and still able to move at the speed a business actually needs.
That means we do some things that look unusual. We publish our spread. We tell applicants they are ineligible on day one rather than at the end. We write our own risk disclosures in language people can read. None of it is generosity. It is the only way to be the provider that does not have to be replaced in a year.
