Before you send a first payment
Cross-border payments fail for a small number of predictable reasons. Getting these right the first time avoids most of them.
- Beneficiary name must match the account exactly
- IBAN, account number and routing details verified against the destination country format
- The right rail for the currency and the destination
- Cut-off times, which differ by rail and are published
- A reference your counterparty can reconcile against
How fast do payments arrive?
Internal transfers between Nomos Pay accounts are instant. External timings depend on the rail, the destination and the cut-off time, and the expected arrival is shown before you confirm each payment.
Do you charge on incoming payments?
Some rails carry an inbound fee and some do not. Every case is listed on the pricing page, with the minimums.
Can I send to a personal account?
Yes, subject to the usual checks. Payments to third parties who are not connected to your stated business activity may be reviewed before they are released.
